JAVIER HERNANDEZ is set to hit the jackpot following his stunning debut season with Manchester United.
Javier Hernandez will be offered a bumper new contract that will treble his wages to fend off a host of top clubs circling the Mexican hitman.
The striker, known as Little Pea, has scored 20 goals this season to fire Sir Alex Ferguson’s men towards a record 19th league title.
But his efforts have made a number of European clubs sit up and take notice, with Real Madrid, AC Milan and Valencia keeping tabs on his progress.
Starsport understands Real are weighing up a £20m summer bid to lure him to the Bernabeu.
But Fergie will fight tooth and nail to keep Hernandez as he is convinced he can go on to become one of the best strikers in the world.
United chiefs will put together a new four-year deal worth around £60,000 a week.
The 22-year-old ace signed a £20,000-a-week deal when he joined United from Guadalajara for £7m last July.
But United are keen to reward his startling progress as well as secure his long-term future.
Hernandez has notched 13 goals in just 14 Premier League appearances to leave them on the brink of the championship.
He has also scored a string of crucial goals in Europe to help them secure a dream Champions League Final at Wembley on May 28 against Barcelona.
The ‘Little Pea’ has even jumped ahead of leading scorer Dimitar Berbatov in the pecking order.
The Bulgarian has started just five of the last 18 games and his representatives will hold showdown talks with club officials in June.
Meanwhile, United could be handed a huge boost after news that Barca star Sergio Busquets may be banned.
UEFA have launched a disciplinary case against the midfielder over alleged racism in the bad-tempered semi-final first leg win away to Real Madrid.
Real posted a video on their website before the return showing Busquets allegedly calling full-back Marcelo a “monkey”.
