ALEX FERGUSON has heaped praise on ‘outstanding’ Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
Mexican ace Hernandez moved to Old Trafford last summer but has already smashed 16 goals for United this season.
He is already the club’s second top scorer behind Dimitar Berbatov — and ahead of Wayne Rooney.
But Red Devils boss Ferguson is keen to keep the pressure off the 22-year-old as the club maintain their fight for the Treble.
Fergie said: “Javier has had a fantastic season.
“We are keeping an eye on him because he played in the World Cup last year and this is his first season in the Premier League.
“We are trying to keep him as fresh as we possibly can for the important games we have coming up.
“He is a marvellous player, he is a great trainer. He is a good type. His attitude is fantastic. He is a really outstanding boy.”
